Win98/ a childhoodrecollection,
contactprint from monitor on barite paper, 24 cm x 30 cm

Sequences from a childhood recollection are captured via direct contact with light-sensitive photographic paper – through the placing of the photographic paper on the monitor by hand.
The Windows screensaver from the series After Dark takes several seconds to become inscribed onto the light-sensitive paper. This first digital memory of a 1990’s childhood is thus fixed on paper as a photographic contact print. Through the placing of the photographic paper on the monitor by hand a sequence of this memory is archived as a photograph.
