In the work erinnerungen-auf-essen, Johannes Raimann and Mira Klug deal with the externalization and internalization of memories. To this end, they collected their own notes whose meaning, content and location had been forgotten. These cryptic, generic traces of writing range from shopping lists to their first attempts at writing, which they imprinted on fresh sheets of lasagne using edible sepia. By layering, superimposing and mixing the individual sheets, the forgotten notes find their way back into and out of the body through the mouth, stomach and intestines. They are metabolized and internalized again.
